Australian duo Steph Stepan and Rachel Shepheard asked me to help them produce their online magazine Friday Best. The magazine is a series of interviews with young women talking about life as they know it. My challenge was to design a clean but inviting website with an optimal reading experience in line with the look and feel of Friday Best. Every Friday a new interview is published that can always be seen on the home page of the website. For an optimal reading experience I chose the serif font Merriweather and combined it with the sans serif font Promixa Nova for more general information. The site also has an overview page which includes all the interviews; at the end of every interview the reader is able to return to this overview or click through to the next interview. The overall effect is such that the reader always feels in control of their reading experience.
